Deal cancelled by AM to according to Bild ..

Aston Villa won“t sign Michael Bradley permanently. McLeish cancelled the deal today, although clubs agreed on terms before, acc. to "Bild

Don't worry, he's got a sneaky bid for Steve Sidwell lined up.

I could see McLeish going for Parker.

If he caught him shagging his daughter for instance. Or robbing something out of his shed.

How long has Delph got left on his contract? That was a lot of money we spent on him, and we shouldn't be letting him get anywhere near the end of his contract.

He has four more years.

Did not see anything positive enough to suggest that Bradley would be that All round dynamic player we are desperate for. For me now that man could be Barton. With Gary Gardner being his understudy whilst gaining first team experience. Fairplay if as reported that flippin Eck said no ..........

Barton would be an exceptional addition.

If the ginger tosser has cancelled the bradley deal then i'm happy with that. Stupidity buying players bought by the last manager IMO and when that deal was muted after GH got the shove i was bit worried. Whatever you think about bradley, the last thing you want is a player the new manager doesn't rate -i.e Ireland

O'Hara was a pretty good signing for Wolves.

Agreed about O'Hara - always thought he was a decent player

I actually cant wait until pre season starts - will be interesting to see what Mc Ginge thinks about the squad and the set up

"The ginger tosser"....c'mon man get over it. Move on. At least call him "Horatio", from CSI Miami. He's a dead ringer for David Caruso.

I would not be surprised at all to see Makoun go back to France this summer, and thus us still sign Reo Coker and Adam. Bradley is young enough to prove a bargain. Good signing IMO.
I also think Makoun will be off, don't know why, just think he will.

Meanwhile, Chelsea's England Under-21 international Daniel Sturridge could be set for a season-long loan to Newcastle, who are short of firepower following the sales of Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan.
Full story: Caughtoffside.com

If he's available we should be in for him - if only on loan he'd be a great addition.

I like what I've seen from Makoun and really hope he stays.  He played the holding role in France, but the PL is different and I'm not convinced his game is suited to it here.  Bradley I could take or leave if I'm honest.  I think there's more to come from him than we've seen, but then his game seems similar to Petrov, for who we need an improvement on and he isn't it.  If we were starting the season tomorrow, here's how we'd likely line up in the centre:-

Makoun - Petrov - Delph

Petrov sitting, Makoun as a bit of a 'deep lying playmaker' and Delph with the license to get forward.  I think we therefore need to replace Petrov with a genuine midfield general and that's the type I'd be looking for.  Adam could fit in the Makoun slot, but at the reported £12m I'm not convinced he's any better.  We could bring an attacking midfielder in, but I think it's Delph's time and he'll do well for us.

So a top DCM and we'd have healthy back up in Petrov, Hogg, Herd and Bannan.  Ireland can fuck off.
