Hopefully Bradley can really thrive in the Prem.

I think he could be a very useful tool in the Villa midfield. He can run, tackle, pass, go forward, chase players. He can bring energy. I think a midfield trio of

Makoun-Adam
      Bradley

could fit very well.

I believe the agreed fee is something near 3.4m

Better than just being a tool like Ireland.

Thats pretty cheap for an international captain tbf. If he can adapt to the Prem after a pre-season under his belt he could be a real bargain buy for us. Didnt look too great last season though. Looked like he dwelled too much on the ball and kept getting caught out too often. Problem is with Bradley, Makoun, Delph and Petrov we are still lacking something in midfield.

I think you have hit the nail on the head. He's too similar to what we already have.

I would not be surprised at all to see Makoun go back to France this summer, and thus us still sign Reo Coker and Adam. Bradley is young enough to prove a bargain. Good signing IMO.

Maybe im being harsh but i havent seen anything to suggest Bradley will be a good player for us.

Disappointed Reo Coker, left he would have Been good under Mcleish cant see us getting him back in though.
Makoun looked nice and neat but over whelmed by the premiership hopefully he starts to get the pace of the premiership and adapt this season.

Makoun, Delph, Petrov, Bradley, Bannan, Hogg, Herd and G Gardner gives us enough numbers for centre mid, but a little short on quality.

Agree. IMO Hogg and Herd are should be given out on loan. But a player like Charlie Adam sould give us enough quality.

We've got way too many average/potentially good midfielders and a couple of never-will-be's.  Hopefully Eck will weed them out and bring decent players in.

I think that Makoun and Bradley could prove a good partnership. With a creative addition just in front of them in Adams - now that could be good. A front 3 of Downing - Bent - Sturridge would be very exciting. Just need the defence sorting then!!!!

Didn't have the best of starts but I see a lot of promise in Bradley. His cameos were more convincing as the season went on and he'll be aware of what this league is all about now. As will Makoun.
Delph will figure a lot next season and rightly so. He will, unless I miss my guess, be as important to us as Milner was.
Gardner will also start breaking through and will be just as important if not more so. But give him time. Herd will prove a useful and versatile option too.
Possibly miss a specialist destroyer at the moment but two box to box types can compensate.

I agree that we need a string puller in midfield and Adam would fit the bill nicely.

Bradley has looked just about one of the worst footballers I have ever seen - so far.  Not far off one of those 'cousins of George Weah' type scenarios unless I knew better.......far from impressed.
