Nigel to return ? Said before he left he is average at best. Where is Juventus , Milan and a "stream of CL teams" (quote from his agent) ? Gary Gardner, Delphi, Barton is going forward. Nigel is history .........

Looks like people are still making plans for Nigel...

Not one that would fill you with XTC.
I heard about NRC coming back from a pot head in the Bartons, I think he might be getting a bit addled though, I reckon his Sensi was working overtime.

The aim is to finish higher than 9th as stated yesterday and aim for a cup. Sensible enough if this not huge money to spend. Larson, Adam, nzogbia, reo coker, Westwood, given, hutton would give a squad capable of top 8 and being very good on their day. I like the idea of a couple of delph like signings though. Clyne,  chaimberlain etc. Naughton would be good.

Any word on where Mr Nuttier than a Squirrel Shite Stephen Ireland stands with the club?
I know he doesn't appear to have much going on upstairs, but even he must guess at this stage that his options at the bigger clubs will become very limited if he doesn't do what he is paid to do.
Could it dawn on him to knuckle down here and earn a move if he is deperate to get away, probably not. Nuuucastle will be the easy option.

I can't see higher than 9th satisfying all the "but this is a top 6th team" lot from last season, unless the penny's finally dropped

Really don't know if I'd take Ireland back. Last season he really dissapointed me and annoyed me, but with a good manager he has great ability

He basically gave up trying to get in the team after 6 months and then all that nasty stuff about us when he thought he was going to Newcastle. Personally i'd give him a free transfer to get him off the wage bill. Realistically we'll try and sell him and if no-one's interested i guess we're stuck with him. From what i've heard he's not the most popular in the squad anyway so returning him to the fold will be interesting to say the least. I reckon he'll end up like Collymore unless he grows a brain-cell

If the Dog Shit can win the League cup and Portsmouth can win the FA Cup, anything is possible.

I read Fulham are looking at Carlos Kameni for GK if Schwarzer decides to leave. Not a bad shout for us and prob a lot cheaper than Foster.
