That friedel link smells like BS. Brad will surely want frat team action? Unless he's so bankrupt he'll do snything for the extra cash!

Gabby just needs to have more shots on goal, over his career he scores 1 in 5 shots on goal, this season it was 1 in 6.  He just didn't get in enough positions to shoot this year, or have the confidence to shoot when he was.

Bent over his career has scored 1 in 4.5 shots on goal, gabby working with him over a pre season to get a better feel for movement and positioning is only gonna help him.

And when he does get in position, he falls over. Top class strikers don't miss chances like the one he had on Sunday

The Gabby debates have all been done before, but he's still a useful player to us and can we honestly see anyone better then him willing to sit on our bench for most of the season waiting for Bent to get injured?

I'll be sorry to see Big Brad go as, similar to Gabby, I think he'd be great as a 2nd choice.  But if not we sign a Foster/Robinson and find someone else to be back up.  I can see this being a young foreign keeper we've never heard of.

Carsonesque.

I'd much rather Al-Habsi.

I was thinking the same thing after we'd played them.

In fact, there's probably only Carson I wouldn't take over Green from our division, and even that would be a close call, which is saying something as Carson is a hologram.

I can't overstate just how much I do not rate Robert Green. I hear the "Oh he's a good shot stopper though" and, well, he's just not. That's the fucking problem. They go straight through him and his crisp packet hands.

i'd probably go for a target man to replace Ivanhoe/Carew. Wouldn't mind back-up for bent either. If we lost him for 6 months to an injury, we'd have a big problem

As an outside shout, how about that big lump who came out of nowhere for Wigan, Connor Sammon is it? He looks like he can play, could become a very good player.

Whether or not the rumours of Brad going to Liverpool are true or not we need another number 1 keeper. No thanks to Green - too error prone and always looks like a rabbit in headlights to me. I still favour Robinson if we can get him. Alternatively Kuszczack (sp?) is a free agent in the summer and at only 29 may be worth a punt.

did you see him for united against blackburn? there is a reason why they're letting him walk out for nothing.

Could be something in that, I saw him driving through Sutton a week or two ago.

From Wayne Bridges' perspective, I'm sure we are.

Yeah that was pretty comical, but he was decent for the Boggies and I think there's a good keeper in there somewhere. For me anything's preferable to Green

I'm probably in the minority here, but I wouldn't be totally opposed to this.

Bridge? There's a busted flush if ever there was one.

As for Friedel, at his age it's all about the length of contract. If he's been offered two years by Liverpool, good luck to him. I'd hope we wouldn't go above a single year. We certainly shouldn't.
