The return of Milner would be brilliant, a real fillip this summer.

Mind you, so would me getting it on with Morena Baccarin. It's probably unlikely.

I'm not sure GN, with the potential loss of Tevez and Adebeyor, Young is a better CF than Milner. Young is also a better Winger than Milner, and they are a bit limited there also. But Milner is a much better CM than Young, but there they have Barry, De Yong and Toure as well as a good substitute in Viera. We on the other hand have 2 good wingers without Young and a ruck of centre mids with no engine, so it might make sense, especially if we play with 3 CM next season. The problem might be the wages for Milner and whether he gets offered Euro football elsewhere.

Rumour circulating yesterday Ash to City and Milner back to Villa with cash

Cant see it but would drive Ashley to manchester and collect Milner for the round trip forget the extra cash !!

And if you were to break down on the way up, i'd come and tow you the rest of the way, no sweat.

Fuck that. Don't want any of MON's overpaid deadwood back, even if we get rid of more of his overpaid deadwood in return. Apparently, the squad was 'full' of them.

So now we know who has gone down, who do we want:

HAMMERS
Colison and Tompkins but only if they're dirt cheap.
Parker obviously but I think that he is destined for Arsenal/Spurs on a big contract

BLACKPOOL
no-one to be honest.  Not a fan of Adam, although the way he keeps scoring is making me look stupid.

BIRMINGHAM
Foster - could be our keeper for the next ten years.
Johnson - I'd be tempted, especially if we bought Foster, as there should be a decent understanding between the two players.

Dann is better than Johnson by a country mile. I would take Vaughan from Blackpool on a free and Demba Ba looks like he could be something special to me.

If there is a chance of signing up Foster, then we should definitely make an effort to do so. There's not too many others I can think of, though.

Which of Dann and Johnson is more commanding in the air?
Long term I think we'll see more of Clark so a partner that provides the grunt to Clark's finesse could be a good signing.

I thought Adam looked great today, so maybe is worth looking at after all. Otherwise ba, Johnson, dann, foster all worth looking at. But n'zogbia's still my top priority from the bottom sides. Wouldn't touch Jarvis, green, upson, tomkins.

Adam would do well in our 3 man midfield.

Ah, forgot about Adam, stupidly! Think he's a touch overrated, in truth, but good enough to play in the Premier League. I think he'll turn up at Spurs.

Really think we need to hold onto friedel and NRC. We won't get money for either and otherwise we're going to have to get 2 new keepers, 2 fullbacks, a ball winner and winger just to start out at similar capability next season, never mind improve our squad.
