For all the money Man City have spent, they dont impress me much.
I'm sure they'll go after Messi for £250m and a million pound a week or something ridiculous though.

According to Talksport (yeah, I know), we're being linked to Flores at Atletico Madrid if Houllier steps down.

If Man City qualify for the Champions League then they will ramp their spending up to eye-watering levels.

do we have any indication when a decision will be made on whether houllier can or will continue? we really need cannot affort another summer of uncertainty at the club and someone needs to make a decision by the end of the month preferably.

Assuming West Ham go down, I could see us getting Rob Green to replace Big Brad and maybe Carlton Cole to deputise for Bent?

Green is a decent keeper despite the odd error (what keeper doesnt make them) but Cole would end up as more as a reserve? Just putting it out there......

I don't rate Cole.
Another 'Can I be arsed today?' player.

Plus they'd want close to £10m for him.

Avoid.

Carlton Cole would go to QPR I reckon.

Anyway, he's not the sort of player we need. We have Gabby to deputise for Bent.
We need the creative striker and/or powerhouse as alternatives.
I realise that Cole could be classed as a powerhouse too but I think we could do better.

I'd prefer Bendtner to Cole, for instance. And he'd be cheaper.

Carlton Cole no way

Another mediocre player who cant be arsed most of the time and we already have far too many of those.

Rob green? Saw him first game of the season and him and Upson looked terrible

If we go for a keeper Shay Given

I'd prefer a fisting from King King than any of those 2.

Agree with given, as for cole he would cost far too much and isn't that good- Parker is the one we need but there will be plenty after him, he is the sort of creative player we really need .

Firstly we need clarification of who will be manager as we have a huge summer of wheeling and dealing ahead of us and I'd expect a vastly changed squad in September whoever is in charge.

Are the club discussing a new deal with friedal or is it just rumour?

Given is too old really, so domestically my choice for a new No1 would be Robinson.

Agree about the manager though - all tranfers are subject to who comes in.  Should it be say Moyes for example I can see him trying to bring Fellani with him as we need that sort of player.  If Houllier stays that signing will most likely be from overseas.

Pretty much a wait and see as far as speculation goes for me!

Are you sure? King Kong has larger fists than Carlton Cole or Bendtner.
