Bannan may well be the ideal player to give leeds that final lift over the play off chase.  Would be ok as long as we have an immediate release clause should we need him due to injuries, although he's unlucky not to at least be on the bench.
Loan him to Leeds and maybe help them get to Premiership?

No way we're gonna help that club.

Better off loaning him to Leicester then..

Of the players familiar to me N'Zogbia would seem an ideal replacement for Young - could play in a similar role too.
He comes across as a wanker to me,don't think he'd be good for team harmony. A few good games for us and he'd be quoted in l'equipe about getting a move to one of the 'big four'.

I wonder if people think much the same when they see Young playing for us.

we are helping them with lichaj already and we seem on good terms with leeds after their kind words about our dealing with them for delph.

I'd rather have the kid on the bench or in our side than go out on loan again.  He's already shown that he's good enough.

I bet they do.

I think he'd be a very good replacement for Ashley, as it happens. Good player.

If Pires can perform like he did on Saturday and is a positive influence on the younger players, I'd definitely keep him next year.

With another year on aging legs that's a pretty big 'if'!!

No, I wouldn't keep Pires unless it was a coaching role too.
He's been a fantastic player and will still turn in the odd vintage but we have younger players who will want that space next season so I don't see the point unless, as I say, he's also a coach.

Pires' contract situation reminds me of Berger's.

He's not worth a year on one good performance, let him wait until the last game and then give him a deal on our terms if we wish.

SSN reporting we may be interested in Alan Hutton, I'd rather get Walker, but I've always liked Hutton.

If we're persisting with Downing on the right, N Zog on the left and a playmaker (Adam or better) in Ash's current position would be the way to go.

I seem to be against all of the suggestions today. I don't think we need N'zogbia, we've got enough wide players and he seems to be one of those players that trouble follows around. Hutton always strikes me as being a bit thick, decent enough but very one dimensional - I would hope we could find better.

I'd prefer Adam Johnson over N'Zogbia.

I'd still take a chance on Scott Sinclair.

Maybe we should give Pires a year's extension as a player coach, so he doesn't get so arsey when he isn't playing.

Walker is saying positive things about us being "ideal" for him, hopefully he puts in a transfer request if Harry messes him about.
