It's not a view you hear often on here but I think Warnock has his uses and I'd like to think he can turn it around instead of having a massive mong. Beye, on the other hand, is as welcome as a leper in a parmesan factory.

The squad were extremely unsettled early on in his tenure. You need the odd sacrificial lamb in such instances, and if they're doing the hard work for you (not literally), all the better.

MON must have really hated this club.

How ridiculous.

And to think that MON was supposedly the one who ruled with an iron fist?    GH may be quietly spoken in press conferences and on the side line, but the players can't be left in any doubt now as to who's in charge and what is expected of them.    A lot of people had been saying for months that Warnock was phoning it in, now we have players back fit  and competition for places he's found out that isn't good enough.   Excellent management, IMO.

GH should be applauded for a 'no shit' attitude.  Warnock was a brilliant signing IMHO, but it's amazing how attitudes can change.

Warnock was a good signing, over-priced mind you. We signed him after a brief good run of form at Blackburn, 12-18 months or so. I wouldn't call it a brilliant signing.

MM on VT mentioned that Warnock the Weasel apparently told the dressing room to "F*ck your club and f*ck your fans". No idea when or how it true it is.............but would not surprise me.
MM is normally right.

Warnock sounds like he's behaving like a twat. Which is a shame, because he's a decent left-back and we're really not that well off in that area. He needs a reality check; was a regular in the England squad with us, went to the World Cup. I'm not sure he'll do as well as us again - I know Liverpool wanted him on loan but that's been and gone and they may well look elsewhere in the summer. Wigan were the other club interested...

Beye's just awful. Looked awful the first time I saw him and he's got worse since. No idea why we signed him.... was it for right back cover if Luke Young was injured, and MON decided not to pick either Cuellar or Lichaj there?

And such a long deal... on top of Salifou's deals (how the hell has he managed to be at Villa for four years?) and Osbourne's new deals.... thanks Martin.

What did GH say about Petrov after the Utd game ? Somebody suggested a ego problem was mentioned ?

I will never, ever, ever understand how Salifou managed to stay at Villa for so long. At the time he signed MON described it as a completely risk-free deal. It was risk-free in that he hardly ever got the chance to affect events on the field. When I look at Salifou's Villa 'career' I'm just reminded of Ali Dia, that bloke who Southampton played because someone told Graham Souness he was Geroge Weah's cousin.

Only one player has reacted as one would hope to the criticism and that's Richard Dunne. Everyone else has gone or isn't far from it. GH doesn't just criticise but he identifies the bad apples and calls them out. If you're not pulling your weight at our club, especially for that kind of coin, then fuck off and find another club. The sooner we are permanently rid of the free loaders, the better.
