We owe them for so many defeats, the 5th round tie in 2006 in particular.  IIRC Micah Richards equalised in the 94th minute from a corner and he swore in the post match interview.  Then, in the replay we were 2 down until the 85th minute or so and Steven Davies pulled one back.  City got a home draw with West Ham in the QF and lost.  I remember being so pissed off cos we threw away the chance of a last 8 match at home to that lot.  West Ham got to the final and lost Liverpool.  Yep, we owe them.

Anyone see the article in The Guardian on Saturday asking why no one gives a shit about the FA Cup anymore? Draws like this one might be part of the answer to that question.

It's probably because of all of those times we played Man United in the third round and invariably lost. Regarding this one, Man City aren't invincible, as we proved the other day. We've also got to beat the top teams to win the trophy, so might as well get them out of the way sooner rather than later!

At least they will have played loads of games in the period leading up to the game, which will stretch even their squad. Not a lost cause by any means.

Great draw and I am looking forward to this away day already .

Brings back memories of the trip there in 1971 in the 3rd division when we took about 15,000 fans.

Crap draw, but now its done lets go there and get at them. Let's face it as good as their strikers are they can't defend for toffee.
Everyone is scoring against them, and we have the ammunition!!
UTV.

Not sure we do! Bent can't play and our other strikers aren't notorious net botherers. Let's just hope Downing, Young and Albrighton are having good days.

Remember it well - and 74-75 promotion season in Div 2. And the night trip in the FA Cup (as European champions... champions of Europe) when we won 5 or 6-0.

Give the winners a champions league place and the FA cup would be taken seriously again...

I got quite annoyed at the journo covering our game for the NOTW yesterday. He was sniping about the attendance.

Now it wasn' great but we only got 2000 less than Everton v Chelsea and there was minimal travelling support.

The key though was that we were playing Blackburn for the eighth time in 18 months.

On the draw, I said to the wife before it happened that I fancied it to be Man Citeh away.
