I really hate that Oliver Holte, he such a smug twat.

What winds me up about the media the most is even after today and everything Gerrard said, the papers will still be saying we are desperate and are having to sell to fund Bent etc.

Did Randy sack MON now did he? Tosh, bloody tosh. I just hope we climb the league now and get on with football and put all this crap and the rubbish about what's gone on with Villa and what we did to the media lovee which is MON behind us.

Randy must have one hell of a back bone, and be practically horizontal. He must here some of this nonsense and just let it fly over his head. Fair play to him for not ever coming out to the press and biting. The press must hate him, I bet they wish he would bite. I couldn't, I would have lost it with them ages ago.

Inteligent observations (as usual) from the BBCs Phil McNulty: http://bbc.in/idUPwR

Phil McNulty strikes me as a very, very good journalist who seems to be able to avoid letting petty jealousies or squabbles into his work.

Oliver Holte bloody loves Martin O'Neill. I think he is mentally incapable of speaking about anything remotely about Villa without mentioning how he thinks what a massive mistake it was and how we were lucky to have him etc. I'm glad I don't have Sky any more so I don't have to hear this type of uninformed guff on that Sunday morning show.

Agreed. I also like Barclay too.

More bitterness here:

Who on earth is that man with long hair talking shite? I wouldn't normally say this but he's got a very punchable face.
And is he carrying polyester hair?

Warnock speaks as if Randy sacked O'Neill, though apart from that he sees it from both teams points of view.
And we've been here before - Oliver Holt is from the Paul Hayward school of journalism as far as I'm concerned (sorry Christ Smith ;)).

I'm not having that Sean, you cad. ;-)

I don't always agree with Paul Hayward but he's an excellent journalist which is why he is chief sports writer for the Observer. Oliver Holt is just an opinionated arsehole.

If I was gay I'd be tempted to have "Randy and Bent" on the back of my shirt.

Barclay's a c**t. Never forgiven him for describing Platt as a journeyman in 1990.
Quite interested on Winter's take on it in the morning. Unless he's negative then he'll be a c**t too.

Does anyone know what the £6m worth of add-ons relate to?  Presumably, Villa appearances and England appearances?

There's bound to be an 'avoiding relegation' clause in there and I would expect a goals scored clause in there.

It looks like Oliver Holt.
And who is his famous actress mother? No googling / wikipedia please!
