please call me a prat if u want. But do you really think we will see gabby up front with bent?  I can see gabby being dropped.  Downing left albrighton right young behind bent

I'd go with a forward line of:

Downing - Bent - Heskey - Young - Gabby - Albrighton

With Ireland and Bannan playin slightly withdrawn behind them, Walker and Clarke as wingbacks and Dunne as the defence and rush goalie.

Dare I say, this is the biggest signing since MON (regardless of the end result) and something that the board obviously see as something that will brig the fans back.  Good work Villa!!  ;)

Edit:  The fact it has pissed off so many of our rivals (namely the media) proves that we are on to something.

Although I'm a fan of Bent, I take him in high esteem,  I don't think that he is  worth the huge amount of 20 millions.
But yes, it's a good new because that proves that Randy is still willing to invest on the team and, as Karen said, this could have an impact on other players that we are chasing.

I think that we'll sell either AY 7 or Downing, now.
No problem: with Albrighton on the right,  AJ7 or Stuart on the left flank, and Bent forward we are perfectly balanced.

Finally a Villa fan caller putting  talkSPORT monkeys right over the Bent/Milner money, even got Mark Saggers saying Lerner unfairly got bad press over MON resigning.

To be fair most of us could have told them at the time, yet it takes a Big Whopper of a deal for them to realise?

The two most important questions we should be asking ourselves after this signing are

1) Did we get more online than for Djemba-Djemba?
2) What will be the most original Bent-themed username to appear on H&V?

Starting to get a bit sick of twattish fans of other teams saying 'it's too much' etc etc.  Clearly Aston Villa aren't allowed to spend big money - only the London mob and the Mancs can do that.  Fcuk 'em!  We're  Aston Villa.

I can't remember when a Villa signing surprised me so much. Someone mentioned to me in the pub on Sunday evening that it could be happening with Downing going the other way, but i did'nt think too much of it at the time.

The fee is ridiculously high of course, but at the same time it's nice to see us splash out that kind of money. I think we've shocked a lot of people with this one, not just ourselves.

Oh and i'd play Heskey alongside him.

BE:

1) The twins pre-date the internet, so no.
2) BentFromHeaven_39 would be a strong candidate, as are puns on Bent (Sent, Hell Bent, WonkyNail_39 etc)
