What a great atmosphere we'll have on Saturday now.

We'll make a right racket.

It's been too quiet down there lately.

The delay until 7 is to make time to send him to Crystal Palace in an exchange with Kenny Sansom.

Tell you what, I love the fact that this has pissed so many people off. Not the Sunderland fans, but people who are questioning why he would come here, how he's only coming for the money, why their buddy Martin O'Neill didn't get that chunk of dough to spend on one player and how Randy Learner is so desperate to spend his way out of trouble. And the icing on the cake, hearing Darren Gough on Talksport laughing at Darren Bent's quote about wanting to play for Aston Villa.

Well, a big fuck you to the lot of 'em. Villa are coming back!

Never mind SSN, send Damon round to see if Supertom has had his vinegar strokes yet.

He'll only show him a picture of Dean Gaffney.

I have a Dean Gaffney mask for doorstep handjob interruptions.

I had no idea who Dean Gaffney was. Just googled him. Fuck me, he is ugly isn't he?

It's fantastic to have him here.  But a note of caution from me is that it looks as if he has been a royal shit the way he has left his old club at a moments notice.  I could well see him doing the same to us in a year or so.  I hope I am wrong.
I've read that he actually asked for a transfer at the start of the season but Bruce persuaded him to stay, so longer than a moment's notice if true

I was sat with my brother watching the game Sunday afternoon, and after seeing out woeful finishing we both said we should make a cheeky enquiry about Darren Bent, never did I think that 2 days later he would be signing for the club! A great piece of work by all involved at Villa in getting him to the club.

Great.

Now let's see what a transfer record-smashing striker should be all about: goals. Preferably 20+ a season. And especially goals when they matter, i.e. the ones that win matches.

Some can carry the mantel of being our record buy; some can't.  For all our sakes, please be a Withe or a Deano, rather than a Cascarino or a JPA.
