Never mind SSN, send Damon round to see if Supertom has had his vinegar strokes yet.

He'll only show him a picture of Dean Gaffney.

I have a Dean Gaffney mask for doorstep handjob interruptions.

It feels fantastic to be a Villa fan today, Saturday just can't come soon enough. Villa Park will be full and rocking, thank you so much to Randy Lerner and all concerned.

Full credit to Darren Bent as well, he must think a lot of our club to join us at our lowest point for years.

If you'd told me a week ago we would be signing Bent I'd have pissed myself laughing. Absolutely delighted with the signing.

It's fantastic to have him here.  But a note of caution from me is that it looks as if he has been a royal shit the way he has left his old club at a moments notice.  I could well see him doing the same to us in a year or so.  I hope I am wrong.

Why the delay to 7pm for the press conference?  I really hope there is more good news and ITK's are correct that there might be another chair needed for the conference.

Doubt there'll be anyone else tonight, the ITK information suggested there would be further signing in the following WEEK.

Anyway , good luck Dazza.

Yes! Brilliant! Havent had a 20 goals-a-season striker since Yorkie. Fantastic news.

I think that's an important point.  The club and management deserve a lot of praise for pulling such a high-profile signing out of the bag.

Well beyond what I, and I'm sure many others, were expecting.

I can only assume they are giving all the press time to get to Villa park for the Press Conference.

I am not worried about Bent coming to us to easily, he is at the biggest club he has ever been at now.

Congrats to Lerrner and co for bringing him. The dark days are behind us now...as long as he lives up to expectations.
Bring on the other prospective buys.
At the very least it will make some of the wasters perk up and play for their place again..
