Who is Timothy Abrahams and why are we assuming that his figure is the correct one?

He could have easily just lifted it from that error-strewn Telegraph article.

E&S journo. Tends to get things there or thereabouts.
People who seemed to know what was happening a long time before he spoke up were saying that it's £19m + add-ons.

Still, I'm guessing we'll find out soon enough.

Can we just end the season now, we're out of the bottom 3, we're spending shed loads on a quality striker, I don't want us to play any more games to shatter my optimism.

Is signing a player like Bent a better feeling than actually winning a game ?

its a lot of money, but its not mine so i aint worried, we got more for Milner so whats the problem,

if Bents the right man, it will be money well spent if he's the wrong man then 4mill would have been to much,

Randy wont put the club in danger regarding fianances, so hey ho, i say

Looking at this site over the last 24 hours, I think that it must be.

Randy touched down at BHX a while ago in his Star cruiser. Ever the precursor to shenanigans.

Don't know why Kevin "Bumfluff" Phillips is chipping in with his worthless opinions on this.

Isn't part of the problem that it's a domestic player that we've seen a lot of and could have bought on at least three occasions for much much less? If Bent were scoring at that rate in (say) the Spanish League we wouldn't bat an eyelid at those sorts of figures (except of course that it's us paying that sort of money).

Poor Carol.  An intelligent, likeable broadcaster, with a career spanning many years, and all that anybody thinks of when her name is mentioned on H&V is her beskidded keks.

No.

In fairness lots of people.

None of them Villa fans, but I'm sure they'd be popping the corks on Aldi's finest in Small Heath.
