he aint gonna come, i can feel it...paper talk is gonna fuck it all up :-(
I suppose if you think about it a big money move was on the cards at some point, we net spent around £20 per season in Randy's first 3 seasons, yet the last 3 windows were Jan '10 Gardner out (3 mill), Summer '10 Milner out (18 mill cash plus Ireland) Shorey out (1 mill) and this window so far Sidwell out (3.5 mill) and Makoun in (6 mill) so we made a profit of around 19.5 mill on transfers over the last 12 months before the Bent bid.

Has bent signed yet ?
I hope it's all done and dusted today. Yesterday for more news I actually listened to Talk Sport radio for a couple of hours.I feel soiled.
From bbc.co.uk/footballFormer Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips believes Darren Bent's demand for a move away from the Stadium of Light is motivated by "pure money".Phillips, 37, who now plays for Birmingham, spent six years on Wearside from 1997 to 2003. "I'm very surprised. If you are asking me, I think it just boils down to pure money," Phillips told BBC Radio 5 live. Aston Villa are reportedly leading the race to sign 26-year-old striker Bent, whose request was confirmed on Monday. With the transfer window only open for another two weeks, struggling Villa are believed to have backed under-pressure manager Gerard Houllier with an £18m offer for the 26-year-old England forward. Bent has been a key figure in Sunderland's climb to sixth in the Premier League table, scoring eight of their 24 goals this season. However, he has only found the net twice in his last nine appearances in league and cup and Phillips believes he could face criticism from fans if they conclude his recent dry run is connected to his desire for a move. "I speak to people who go to games week in week out and he hasn't performed in the last three or four games," said Phillips. "They have been a little bit disappointed with him and now this is coming out they are probably putting two and two together. "I feel sorry for [manager] Steve Bruce. They are putting together a fantastic squad and want to keep their best players."
