i wonder what holloway maks of the fact that some half arsed club as he called us can afford to spend more on one player than his entire squad cost?

lets hope we can tie this up and then get onto the next target, where are the rumours coming from that liverpool want downing?

Me for one, I've always wanted him, I thought we should have gone in when Spuds got rid

A future strike force of Bent, Gabby and Delfouneso sounds good to me. With Heskey as cover/a different option off the bench.

Me too.  I think we'd maybe have sneaked a top 4 place if we'd bought him.

If it had been rejected out of hand, we'd have heard about it officially, I think.

Bent having handed in a transfer request and had it accepted suggests that things are advanced, so I suspect it is beyond simply rejecting a bid.

Me. And the summer before that, and before that, and the one before that...etc. I've wanted us to sign him since he was at the Tractors.

You'd have to build an attack around him, thus a team, as he can't make chances for himself.  Abd he'd fit into the team seeing how he takes his pens. He'll do for us now as his goals will stave off any relegation threat - you'd think, but as for being good enough for what we were trying to achieve once? Nowhere near good enough.

Agreed I suspect if he has requested a transfer they'll have accepted it.

Bollocks to Holloway, he's a massive tit. He was giving out to Rangers over Charlie Adam a couple of days ago as well.

The Liverpool rumours are just media disbelief that we have any cash IMO, they'll say all sorts of shite.
