Nearer to home a mere 100 miles from Villa Park the next village to ours organized a football game on the village green to mark the start of the World Cup. I drove past as I went down to my son's house in that London to watch the game with him. The game on the village green had all the players in their club shirts. The middle aged guy in the Villa shirt was awesome. He charged around like a wounded hippo. It made me even prouder to be a Villa fan.

Not overseas, but hats off to the geezer walking his dog in Islington today wearing a retro 1971 League Cup final shirt this lunchtime.  Always nice to see when the whole area is Goonerville.

No I'll try and figure out how to post a pic of mine when I get back to Toronto.

Toronto villa
Is the Aston villa hotel or b+b still in the Rockies or has it gone. I remember my grandfather telling me about it when he visited Toronto a lot as my auntie lived there and one day when they went travelling they found it.

Do you know him mates?
My sons with Walter Zenga, the great rival of our friend and villa fan Gianluca Pagliuca in the 90's.
He coaches Sampdoria now, even if he could be sacked in the morning....
