On a Villa forum regulary even on a Saturday evening declining all those hot women you would pull in the clubs because you'd rather be on here.

Sums me up perfectly.

We're playing them last game of the season could be time for another banner from leighton of this parish. My starter for 10 would be on an old theme
" who's your next messiah, cilla or tarby?"

Poor old Houllier, he'll be gazing wistfully at his one true love as she takes her former husband back into the marital bed.

I think Liverpool made the same mistake in the summer as many posters here want us to make: to sack a good manager who is underperforming because they are convinced that it is obvious that he can replaced by someone who is superior. But even though Liverpool thought they had the capabilities of being a top side, it may be that Benitez actually did a good job keeping the madhouse at Anfield afloat. After all, his record doesn't suggest that he was a bad manager: beating Barcelona and Real Madrid to win the La Liga with Valencia and winning CL with a mediocre side. But his reputation became weak because of some mediocre signings and poor relations to the national media.

Manager of the Year one minute, replaced by a bloke who hasn't been in football for 10 years the next.

How much was it down to their supporters ?

As G Taylor found, its not always wise to go back is it.

Here's to us winning our last game and putting them down.

The new chairman wants to win a popularity contest I reckon by appointing old sour face.

He hasn't aged well has he? Has something about his demeanour that suggests that he may have been sampling some malt whisky since last in post, though he probably hasn't got that much taste being a surrogate bindipper...

I'd rather it was Houllier. The way things are going I don't think Villa will be in a position to take the piss.

If I - heaven forfend - were a nose, I'd have been most annoyed at half time in our semi final to have had a ten minute segment about fucking Liverpool, as the BBC showed last night.

Aye - and Dixon and Hansen looked as if they'd just returned from a funeral last night.

Suits and ties on football pundits? what is this, the 1960s?

I expect my experts to be wearing grey slim-fit shirts with enough buttons undone to reveal an unpleasant volume of hairy chestage and a pair of trousers so tight that their thighs are bursting out if the seams.
