If nothing else it's a cheap day out - £12 for a ticket (did Villa subsidise the prices?)

Must have, mine says £17 on it, and I only paid £12.
I only just noticed that! Saw the price on the OS and didn't look at the ticket when it turned up

I went with a draw but after last night I am not optimistic, they are struggling and will relish a chance to forget about the league for a weekend. It'd be nice if young Walker popped up with a winning goal against his old club on his debut.

It was £17 for non-season ticket holders.

Im in two minds about playing Downing. I think he should be dropped but then again he does alright against championship sides....

No, we'll do it better than that.  This season the PL finishes a week after the Cup Final.

So we'll parade the trophy and then lose the relegation decider against Liverpool.

I'd start with Bannan, he did more in the 5 minutes he was on  last night than Petrov did in the other 85. I'd also be tempted to start Fonz, with Young and Albrighton on the flanks.

Villa win to get some confidence flowing. New players to come in the following week and we smash the shite to leap four or five places up the league and get some respectability back.

I'm going but I really couldn't care less about the Cup this year.  Staying in the Prem is the be-all and end-all for me.

That said, a dicey 2-1 win for our boys.

A dull 0-0 draw with Houllier trying to convince us that despite creating a single chance in 90 minutes the fact that we have kept a clean sheet means we have turned the corner again and can now kick on for a Europa Cup place and in all likelihood win the FA Cup

Oh and of course we will lose the replay 0-1

I think we'll lose.

My team would be:

Friedel

Lichaj----Collins----Dunne[C]----Clark

Albrighton----Hogg----Delph----Bannan

Agbonlahor----Delfouneso

Same here. I'm just going for a good day out on 3rd Round Day.

That said, a dicey 2-1 win for our boys.

Expect some experimentation with players positions from Houllier.

                                                          GK  Bannan

                           Young(A)         Albrighton         Agbonlahor        Carew

                      McAllister          Faulkner           Ireland(Cpt)              Collins

                                          Dunne
                                                              Friedel

Can you not come up with something new. Houllier played this in the last 5 mins against Sunderland!
