Stiliyan Petrov insists Villa are anxious to quickly address their poor from following back-to-back defeats against Tottenham and Man City. The skipper made an unhappy return to the starting line-up at Eastlands on Tuesday as the claret and blues were well-beaten 4-0 by Roberto Mancini's outfit. And the Bulgarian insists responsibility lies solely with the players as Villa look to recover from the double festive setback. He told AVTV: "It was not good enough, obviously because we lost 4-0. We started and without them really creating anything we conceded two goals."They were two easy goals and when you go down 2-0 it is hard to come back."Like I said before, it is up to us to sort things out. We are not doing good enough at the moment and we just need to sort it out."How we do it - that is up to us. We need to start working harder, believe a bit more."Petrov admits the most frustrating aspect of the City loss was the two early goals that dented Villa's confidence. He said: "You come here and you know what quality they have got. When you are down 2-0 in 13 minutes it is very difficult."But we are not looking to blame somebody else, we blame ourselves."We can talk about this and that and if somebody made a mistake - we just didn't play well enough."For us to get out of this situation we just need to start performing."
Jesus Christ, here we go again. Just stop fuckin talking and start doing.
