That last few minutes was painful, ten man spurs passing us to death. Hogg has to come off, he simply is not good enough for this level, he's a good trier but that is it. I think if we put Reo next to Delph and release Delph to be more attacking we'd be much better off.
That gets my vote.

Ditto.

They are cutting through us and especially in midfield.

We are also very poor in front of goal.

Of course they are.  We all knew that with that midfield they'd batter us but yet Houllier ddin't think so.  He is a terrible tactician with zero motivation, but hey, let's give him more time. Hmmm.

Would you sack him?

100% yes.  He is a dour, miserable, Liverpool supporting idiot with unblievabley piss poor tactics.  We are being battered by 10 men at home and he atill thinks that midfield is good enough.  Can't stand him.

So, in practical terms, Monday morning you call him into your office and you sack him.

Then what do you do?

Well I think he was lucky to get the job in the first place and so there must have been very few options at the time but now there are a few more.  Is Jol still available?  I just cannot abide Houllier and I have tried but when you look at his record since he joined it looks pretty dismal and I can't see it improving much.

Ah but you see, Paulie, practicalities like that mean nothing in Sack-Him-Land. Sacking him means that we'll automatically start playing like Barcelona.

Really, according to who?  Did you just make that up?

Hogg needs to come off.
This ref is looking to even things up.

What effect do you think changing manager now would have, though?

Look at the turmoil when O'Neill fucked off. We'd have the same again. Meanwhile, a rudderless ship, we sink down the league.

I don't like some of his decisions either, and I particularly don't like Spurs carrying on their tradition of outplaying us on our patch - which they've done for the last few years - but changing manager twice in four months is a recipe for relegation.

If Hogg stays on he will get sent off, I'm almost certain.

Collins has been poor, and Warnock looks shaky.

tried to get a bet on that before kick-off but no bookies would take it on at any price

Yes, I just made it up, and makes as much sense as changing manager twice in a season.

All I'll say about Houllier at this point is he has tried to change things too quickly, particularly our style of play. Our lads are not comfortable on the ball. They are used to playing at a high tempo on the break and that's their strength. gradually change that but not overnight.

When I see Collins ad Cueller knock it around at the back I am nervous as hell because it looks like they have a hot potato and could drop it to an opposition player or play a bad backpass at any moment.

The last five minutes were pretty embarrassing but still in the game. I'd bring in Petrov for Hogg as you would hope with an extra man we will have more possession. Gabby hasn't tried since Heskey went off. Arm waving and pointing again. Needs to cut that out from his game. I'd like to see the Fonz play closer to goal and Gabby run the channels.
Hoping Spurs showboating comes back to bite them in the arse. Presume Lennon will make way for Crouch or Pavluchenko at the interval.

I think Gerard Houllier is a recipe for relegation at this rate.  And now we are going to give him money.  What if he makes such piss poor decisions in the transfer window (as he has made bad decisions all season) and then continues to do so when picking them in certain positions.  How can he explain Hogg/Delph in midfield today?  How?

The ref will look to even the numbers this half, Downing has been quiet, Hogg needs to be replaced with NRC, Petrov should also come on our midfield is outnumbered. Houllier hasn't been able to but one player yet some want him sacked, unbelieveable.
