Perhaps in a season that is already heading for mid table obscurity he decided to try to look to the future?

Which is great except that at the moment we aren't in a position to guarantee mid-table obscurity.

Points first and then the future!

They are cutting through us and especially in midfield.

We are also very poor in front of goal.

Of course they are.  We all knew that with that midfield they'd batter us but yet Houllier ddin't think so.  He is a terrible tactician with zero motivation, but hey, let's give him more time. Hmmm.

Would you sack him?

Hogg is the weak link tonight. Bring on NRC for him. Why did he start Hogg???

Delf is the future too, maybe an experienced head in there to help us get much needed points on the board would be better? I just don't rate Hogg from what I've seen.

Shut up Gray, you do not need to jump for a header with your elbows sticking out, it injures opponents, Defoe deserved to go.

Other than politics I can't think of many people on here who I agree with so often as you Dave.
Exactly right, I'd have no complaints if that was one of our players sent off.

Bloody hell, Risso agrees with me!
I might retire now.

Will you please please stop mentioning that obnoxious twat.... I read his name and a red mist comes down causing me to miss a bit of the game...

Gray gives himself the double finger, even he can't stomach him

Bales been quiet. Thank god! Lichaj is doing well. To be honest, I think Luke Young would be getting murdered today.

100% yes.  He is a dour, miserable, Liverpool supporting idiot with unblievabley piss poor tactics.  We are being battered by 10 men at home and he still thinks that midfield is good enough.  Can't stand him.
