We either write off circa £15m + his wages over 18 months (£5m) or sell in Jan to whoever for £15m

Randy's call I guess

Barry obviously.

Finished above us last year, played in a World Cup and looks likely to finish in a Champions League spot this season.

Even if his form has been a bit poor.

Listen I am probably more pro Barry than the average poster on this forum but I wonder if and when Man city do hit the Chumps league spots whether he'll be deemed surplus to requirements. Also I thought the world cup showed him up to be the pedestrian uninventive midfielder he now is.

Barry finished in Europa same as us and did not have too trips to wembley, so I'd argue he hasn't yet.

I'll change my question too has a player improved individually since leaving Villa?

The worry here is that the team we started building in 2007 is falling apart. Barry , Milner and inevitably Young gone  due to the fact that we did not have the financial muscle  and  managerial know how to buy  better players to support them and kick on. This has happened before and will happen again with likes of Albrighton and Bannan in 3/4 years time unless we plan properly now.

Cascarino while in France at Marseille and later Nancy was brilliant.

I don't think Spurs can offer much of a pay rise.
