YOU are the chairman...
« on: December 07, 2010, 09:13:21 PM »
Interesting question a mate of mine put to us this morning (not that its ever going to happen of course)...

If you were Randy Lerner, and Martin O' Neill rang you last night after the game, apologised for the way he left, said he was way too hasty and wanted to give the job another crack -  would you pay Houllier off and give MON his old job back?

In other words - Straight choice - who would YOU trust to get us out of this rut?

MON the motivator and hoofball merchant or GH who has us passing the thing at long last but without the results to show for it?

I'd be astonished if anyone would go for that.

I'd like some of the things MON can bring to the party -things we're definitely lacking at present.

Simple things such as organisation at the back and competence at set pieces. This time last year we had the best defensive record from set pieces, now we have one of (if not) the worst. We don't seem to be offering a threat attacking them either.

But I'm pretty certain managers other than O'Neill are capable of delivering the above and --in time-  if Houllier isn't,  I hope we can find one.

So it's a no for me.

If MON was to walk back in tomorrow I would put my mortgage on us not being relegated.  Under Houllier, at present, I wouldn't be willing to take the bet.

Sounds pretty unanimous then......

Does everyone feel the same way for the same reasons though?

Too much bad feeling? Don't trust him with the next 20mill in Jan? Fed up with the performances and favouritism?

(don't just say yes , yes and yes though) ;-)

We had long spells without victories under MON too.

Surely the overwhelming issue is that he's done it once and he'd probably do it again?

No **$%$ chance!

The shit we're in now is mostly down to the actions of MON (in my opinion).
