during a miserable season for the villa, and i mean totally miserable, i take some comfort in the fact that i was not born in newcastle...

no matter how shit things get at the villa, we can always count on them to make us feel thankful for what we have... even if it is shitty...

To give the twat his due, he seems as perplexed as everyone else by his appointment:

Pardew fails to put his finger on it...

"I've had a lot of texts from managers saying 'you must be mad going there'," said Pardew, 49, on Thursday.
"But it's one of the top five clubs in England. It's a daunting prospect but something I couldn't turn down."

Ha ha.

Mind you, all newly appointed managers flatter their new clubs when they're first appointed.

Well. Nearly all.

5 and half years !!!!!!!!!!
He is laughing all the way to the bank. When they sack him in 6 months time for being shite, his pay off will be huge.

And he'll go and spunk it all at Lambiou's Casino....

pardew has always been a delusional fuckwit with serious over inflated views of his own self importance, so really, its a match made in heaven...

Just watched Pardew's conference and I'm fairly sure he called Hughton ''Houghton''. Ignorant/disrespectful eejit...I can't see him outdoing Hughton's achievements in the next five and a half years.

I think it was disgraceful act to sack Hughton.

Whilst  employing Pardew does not sound impressive I respect the fact that they  have resisted the temptation to appoint Carlos Coachalotti or Jurgen van der Trainer and gone for an English coach instead.

Son of what?

If you've no interest on the hilarious goings on up on Tyneside, and make no mistake it's funny as fuck, then why bother wasting your own time and reading it, let alone posting in here.
