It's not often that you come in 2-0 down at home and think 'thank fuck for that', I think that sums up the performance.

Injuries or no injuries, we are absolutely fucking shit. I don't think anyone we've got out injured would have made a difference today either. That team and performance is relegation material, i've been saying it for weeks that we'll be in or around the relegation zone after christmas and even the most positive Villa fan must admit we're going to be in a relegation fight, we look so so poor.

As for Ashley Young, fuckin sell him. £80m my arse, no footballer is worth that let alone that whinging, diving, overrated little shit. All he's done first half is give the ball away and moan at the rest of our players like he thinks he's better than them, well newsflash Ashley you're the most overrated player in the league.

To be honest this first half has been an embarrassment. Carew and Pires are finished. It is so easy for the Arsenal. Warnock is finished too. Collins is having a nightmare as today as is Luke Young who Arshavin has made a fool of. Downing on the right is a joke. Bannan has looked a youth player unfortunately too.

Fonz for Pires at half time. Arshavin and Nasri gave been superb I must say. 0-2 flatters us I must say.

I guess people will blame Dunne though.

More likely blame MON.

This is as bad as gets. Houllier has brought us backwards. Im not one for hyperbole but we could easily be dragged into a relegation battle. Especially as we most likely arent gonna be splashing the cash in January.

I think Ireland showed more fight against Blackburn than a no of players have today.

Now that is saying something.

I think all the talk of relegation is a bit stupid tbh.
Todays team is not the 'full monty', and we're playing one of the best teams in Europe, let alone the league. Lack of effort can not be excused but the lack of a win against a team like this does not mean everything is doomed. A win would be nice, but can hardly be expected.
Cam down I say... I do feel bad for those that have paid to watch though.

If some club was stupid enough to come in with anything approaching 20 million for ashley young i would bite the arm off them.

My second comment disappeared but basically said you wouldn't mind if we at least tried. Today we have just turned up, seen it was cold and didn't fancy it.

Bannan has tried, Brad has been reliable and the rest have been poor.

We have no leader on the pitch, nobody who's got claret and blue in his veins.

I didn't expect us to win with the injuries, but I expected to try. Contrast this performance to the one against Man Utd.

What we need now is Santa Claus to crash into the Trinity. Or has somebody done that one?
