With a packed midfield, hopefully Sidwell won't feel the need to go flying into challenges and get himself sent off.

I'm sorry, but that Villa team is possibly the worst I've seen since DOL days, over half of that team were sat on the bench last season.

I hate to be negative, and genuinely think I'm being honest and realistic rather than negative, but that is a mid table side and whatever the result today we need some major surgery in January.

More hopeful than confident of a 1-0 win.  Luckily the Blues side looks pretty woeful too!

So no-one thinks it's a 3-5-2 line up with L.Young & Warnock providing the overlaps?

I like the selection, it's bold, different and should be solid and combative - today is not going to be a pretty game of football and after Mr Gardeners comments, it could be nastier than usual.

Not surprised by the formation. Don't see it as all that negative, just that we will need to win the battle in midfield. Young will play off Heskey anyway....

What did Gardner say?

Something about 'knowing how they play' insinuating we;re a bit predictable.

Come on Villa, a manager who can change it tactically brilliant!

Ah thanks, he's certainly got more vocal since he joined the draggers.

Morning gents.

Very interesting selection. Feeling more confident about this than I was half an hour ago. Might have to change my prediction from a 1-0 win to 2-0.
After moaning about how we never seem to score from corners any more, expect today to see a change in our luck.

Come on Villa, let's get the 3 points and move on up the league.
