A nose has posted 81 times on a Villa site? Bloody hell they say we're obsessed with them! I suppose it must be nice coming on here to see words of more than two syllables.

I was going to post something similar. 81 posts on a rival clubs website is extremely sad.

Why? What is wrong in engaging in meaningful discussion?
Nothing.

But in which case is there any reason why you haven't taken the conscious decision to go and have nice chats with the folks at KeepRightOn.co.uk?

However nice it is to have meaningful discussion with supporters of other clubs, it's still a stretch to then go and sign up to another forum to indulge in it.

Playing with a weakened team which involves young lads, playing at the Sty with our away record being crap - it really wouldn't disappoint me that much if we lost, I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Just for shits and giggles I might just do a media blackout for 2 hours and then turn on Sky Sports after the game has ended just to see if there is a surprised smile on my face or if there's a shrug of the shoulders whilst muttering 'damn'.

Serious question, which game means more to which set of fans and which fans will be more disappointed if there team loses? Like I said, the blosers would be put on suicide watch if they lose to a bunch of 'Vile kids' at the sty.

I just hope the manager and players don't feel the same way.

Beating Blues would be another step on the road to Wembley and the chance to actually win something okay just a League cup but it is a trophy. There is something to play for here. I cannot believe any Villa fan would reject the chance of a Semi final possibly leading to a trophy. The fact it is against THEM is an extra bit sweeter if we win. This is more meaningful than some shitty league game against Blackburn or Wigan just by virtue of it being a quarter final. We are not Man Yoo or Arsenal and cannot and should not turn our nose up at a trophy.

He may be so very, very wrong in his choice of team but sheldon is right in that it matters a lot to both fans by being a derby AND a quarter final.

I think Blues are the favourites due to our injuries and their home advantage but with all our players fit it would be the other way round.

How would you know which forums/fora(?) I have signed up to? I contribute (sparingly) to others. Walsall, for example.

Fair enough.

If you don't, any reason keeprighton.co.uk isn't one of them?

Or say, a Wolves forum. If you don't contribute to any of them.

Why? What is wrong in engaging in meaningful discussion? See the contributions from the Stoke fans and especially sendo_whu.

There's a slight difference. Stoke and West Ham don't hate us with a passion. Their lads contribute to the site on various football topics, rather than just coming on here and calling some of our poster's armchair supporters.

We're going to achieve nothing in the league other than survival, we're not going to trouble the top 6 and maybe not even the top half, so this game is huge even though some people think they/we are too big to consider it so. Imo we'll be around the bottom 3 over christmas but if we've got a semi final to look forward to it will soften the blow, however if we're near the bottom 3 and we're out of the cup at the hands of small heath it will be very depressing. Fuck the league, i'd settle for a bottom half finish and a win over Small Heath and go on to win the cup.

Christ you're dull.
I'm so dull you took the time out to read my post, then quote it and reply. Christ you're thick.

I must be dense to have bothered reading your repetitive whinge when I was already aware of how inanely morose and dull it was going to be. Do us all a favour and shut up moaning, you whinging oik.

Meh, maybe it's just me then. I personally don't have a problem with BCFC as a club - I just view them as little, joke club who have no history and are insignificant to the football world... it's their fans that just p*ss me off when they spout bullshit about our Club and Fans just because they know they're inferior in every aspect to us i.e. support, success, history, talent, stadium. At the end of the day, if we lose no biggie, they'll always be insignificant small heath and we'll always be the Mighty Villa - 1 result doesn't change that. It'll be annoying if we lose but I've got more important things in my life to be upset about... they're playing an inexperienced and weakened team, that's why they're the favourites and that is why if they lose I know there will be lots of "We couldn't beat Vile kids" threads on SHA Forum which I will lol @. I'm not 'pretending to not care', no-one knows me so I thinks it's unfair to say stuff like I'm pretending to not care, I just care a bit less than some other Villa fans - it's not a crime, it's just me and how I view football and sport in general.

It's still gonna be a close game though and there can be only winner - question is, who wants it more? Will Mcleish play defensive football as usual being cautious of our quick players on the break or will he make it open? Hopefully Reo-Coker will be in the side for next week, I think Bannan will play much better with Coker next to him with an experienced leader... that might mean Hogg might be benched but that's not because he hasn't played well - because he has. Ireland better be up for this, if not we might as well play Pires.

Have fun watching the cricket Sheldon, if England can win in Brisbane I think we'll be getting a stronger scent of those dusty ashes...

You know what i've deleted this comment because it's not worth it. You carry on pretending to be a hard man impressing your little friends on here with little insults and by telling me to shut up and if you don't like what i've got to say then don't read it.

Given that Blose are playing way above their station and, as such, are no longer eligible to play in competitions that they have a (slim) chance of winning, will their manager - I forget his name - be in a position where he's forced to resign should Villa win?

Let me explain my thoughts. There's little that Blose can win...they've absolutely no chance of being league champions, getting into Europe is a dream too far, let alone winning anything in it and the FA Cup is far to prestigious a competition (even these days) to have the words 'Birmingham City' on the winners list.

So that leaves them with the League Cup. That's really it. Apart from that (and I guess beating Villa a few times in the average lifetime), there's no other point to their existance. So failure at this stage of the competition - at home, with a full squad and a full house, tagainst a hated opposition crippled by injures and playing inexperienced youth - would surely spell out  to even the most illiterate of noses that the end of the road has, in fact, been reached.

The only face-saving option will be to offload the manager and start all over again.

No?

Pretending to be hard? What has that got to do with anything?

I am just like nigh on every other poster on here; bored to tears by your constant whinging and moaning.
