fao.the situation....your quote"you'll still manage to bottle it and fall at the feet of your superior masters once again".......well we didnt the other week did we...
Nearly 6 years you haven't beat us though, isn't it? Arsenal went 10 years without losing to Spurs, I reckon we can beat that record... scrap that, what about the 16 years going unbeaten which lasted through the 90's and into the 2000's?

Sheldon, this is a massive game for you, even bigger than your last game against us... you're favourites to win and if you don't I will be having so much fun on your SHA forum you won't even believe it just laughing myself silly at all the "Eck Out", "Why do we play such negative football", "Where's our £40 million gone?", "Why do we play not to lose", "Zigic is shit", "Gardner is a Vile prick" etc... whereas if we lose I'm sure Villa fans will be a bit annoyed, but under the circumstances of having 12 players injured, we won't care that much and we'll just laugh at how you'll act like you've just won the World Cup. Blosers are shitting themselves STILL despite us having an injury list which is bigger than the number of people that will be sitting in the home section of the railway end... what a real life nightmare it will be for you blosers if you lose to a 'bunch of Vile kids' it must be the worst thing you could possibly think of happening to your club, even worse than losing the Leyland Daf Cup Final.

It'll be unbearable if you lose and you know it, especially being the favourites to win playing at home - you've got so much to lose I don't think you realise it.

If you honestly think that then i'm afraid you're kidding yourself. I will be gutted and mightily pissed off if we lose and i have to stand there in the Sty listening to them taking the piss, as i'm sure everyone else there will be.

Playing with a weakened team which involves young lads, playing at the Sty with our away record being crap - it really wouldn't disappoint me that much if we lost, I certainly wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Just for shits and giggles I might just do a media blackout for 2 hours and then turn on Sky Sports after the game has ended just to see if there is a surprised smile on my face or if there's a shrug of the shoulders whilst muttering 'damn'.

Serious question, which game means more to which set of fans and which fans will be more disappointed if there team loses? Like I said, the blosers would be put on suicide watch if they lose to a bunch of 'Vile kids' at the sty.

I can't understand these Villa fans pretending to be not too bothered about this game, and that it means more to them than us...

Come on... really?

It's massive, and I can't think of a worse feeling in recent years than standing in the away end at the Sty when we lose, having to endure all of them celebrating wildly. I certainly don't want to experience that again next week.

Like i said some Villa fans think they and we are too big to be bothered about Blues and losing to them but the fact is we're going to do nothing in the league and this game is massive. Like you say it is a horrible feeling standing in the Sty when you're losing or you've lost and if anyone is stood there next week claiming they're not that bothered they're lying.

Do nothing in the league? Long way to go mate. Houllier is still finding his feet (although he's got us playing much better), we're waiting for injured players to return, it looks like we'll do a bit of buisness in January... I wouldn't write off the season yet, would be unfair. Lots of football to be played from now until the end of season. Remember all those slow starts Everton have...

Like I said, blose fans will be much more gutted if they lose given the circumstances of everything being in their favour. Home team, no injuries, playing a side which is injury-ridden etc... Whereas we're the complete opposite and we're not the favourites so it won't hurt as much if we lose. Not saying it won't be annoying/disappointing for some Villa fans, it just really wouldn't hurt much for me personally because I know we're not the favourites and we'll be playing and inexperinced team with lots of players missing. Oh, we're also glory hunters who don't live in Birmingham so what would a derby mean to glory hunting out-of-towner Villa fans ;)

P.S. Sheldon; If I'm so boring why don't you just reply to post and the points I'm making instead of writing one liners that actually don't address anything I say in my posts so you don't have to keep reading the same thing from me? If you properly replied I wouldn't need to keep repeating myself. So would you like to comment on the fact we haven't lost to you in nearly 6 years, that you're the favourites to win next week given the circumstances etc...?

A nose has posted 81 times on a Villa site? Bloody hell they say we're obsessed with them! I suppose it must be nice coming on here to see words of more than two syllables.

Whilst I have no wish to support a nose on here, I wish some of our fans would just do away with the arrogance and over confidence, it is what did for us back in 2002.  I have a horrible feeling about this one, but I hope I am proved wrong.  I would just like us to win the game and get out of there alive.

I was going to post something similar. 81 posts on a rival clubs website is extremely sad.

Why? What is wrong in engaging in meaningful discussion? See the contributions from the Stoke fans and especially sendo_whu.
