Downing is currently the most inform player we have and long may it continue.

He had Evra on toast ;)

Overall this season he has been excellent, and is contributing goals which is key.

Brown. It was Albrighton who was dismantling Evra's reputation.

Obviously he's playing well on the wing so I wouldn't change it in the next few games but I wouldn't be adverse to moving Young back to the left and play Downing in the hole for a few games to have a look as he does have a decent pass and shot on him.

I'm glad we stuck with Downing and Albrighton on their proper wings most of the game on Saturday. I think it's more effective.

Very comfortably our player of the season thus far for me.

Interesting idea.  Maybe the answer is to have him and Ash interchanging positions during games?

I wouldn't want our best crosser anywhere other than on the wings.  His deliveries are sublime at times and we can't afford to lose that element of his game.

I'd also like to add that he and Albrighton have been our star players so far this season imo.

Fair play to him,he's been great this season. At the end of the last season i thought he was gonna go the same way as Sidwell.
