Thanks for the update VSM
Hope fonz gets his act together soon, I fear another Luke Moore scenario unfolding

Yes, I agree. The Burnley fans' comments don't surprise me one bit because, in truth, they are largely what I have thought when I have seen him play. Needs to look like he wants it for me and that isn't very evident just now...

Hope I am wrong

I don't think his attitude has been bad, from what i've seen. I just don't think he's. Good enough player.

Here's hoping.

A truly abysmal player. One of the worst I've seen play for us.

That really is the kiss of death when a League 1 club doesn't want you!

I still have no idea why he got a next 4 year contract in November 2007.

If you look back, he was struggling to get on our bench then.

Another who I can see quickly sliding down the leagues.

Oh, how unfair, he did have one good game you know against Everton when he even managed a pass to Sutton to score...

Strange one that, he was always starting the games whenever I checked the line ups.

Checking on a Sheff Wed site they are saying it's no great loss, and the reason behind it seems to be that they can only have 5 loan players in their match day squad, so Osbourne is the spare prick at the party.

Agree.
He and Salifou are a complete and utter waste of resources.

O'Neill used to say that Osbourne saw himself as the 'new Viera' and clearly he believed him judging by the ludicrous 4 year contract he got.

I remember seeing Ozzy play for us at Old Trafford and he had a stormer of a game in CM, not sure where it all went wrong

As for Salifou, the only time of seen him was for the reserves the other night, i know its only a reserve game but he did really well, i'd prefer him on our bench to Pires

Bananaman, the Fonz and Boss Hogg all started tonight for their teams. And they all lost. Bannan taken off in the second half.

Osbourne had about two games where he looked half-decent including a one-one draw at Arsenal when we should've won. He wasn't the worst player I've seen in a Villa shirt and we probably aren't paying him much (not compared to that twat Ireland anyway!). It might have been a bit hasty to sign him on a four-year deal, but then again we do that with most of our youngsters. At least it stops us losing them for nothing if they do end up being stars. As others have said, no great loss, but I hope he does ok.

I've said on earlier posts, BB seems to fade badly in the second half of games and is too easily brushed off by stronger / bigger players. I'm willing him to make it but the jury's out IMO.
