Thanks for the update VSMHope fonz gets his act together soon, I fear another Luke Moore scenario unfolding
To an extent, though not as bad as Saturday. (when asked about long balls being played up to him as a lone striker)The few patches in the game where we actually played football and got the ball quickly to his feet he showed fine close control and link up play. Had a few promising runs at their defence as well. Also, I think Carlisle and/or Duff's dropping from the side is imminent, paving the way for Bikey/Edgar who (I'd like to think) can actually play football a bit and control their feet. Will surely benefit the whole team, not just Delfouneso.
Looks a good signing, but, as you say, I've only seen him in two matches where the team as a whole haven't played well.Definitely an improvement on what we have (though it is Chris Iwelumo) and his attitude seems decent, given I was told he may have a problem there.Pace to burn which, at this level, frightens the life out of defenders and could see him posing a major attacking threat once he's settled more. There won't be many better front three's in the league than Delfouneso, Rodriguez and Eagles when they're all on song. Though even when they're not, they'll always pose a threat.

The Burnley fans' comments don't surprise me one bit because, in truth, they are largely what I have thought when I have seen him play. Needs to look like he wants it for me and that isn't very evident just now...Hope I am wrong
one thing i like from those views, is that they look at what is happening with the team as a whole, and the tactics employed, as it indicates looking further than merely "oh noes, e azzent scord, coz e iz crap, innit"...
Oh, you'll get that with a few Burnley fans. Even if he scored in every game they'd find something to moan about. Some of them wouldn't be happy if Messi signed for us...Yeah, as I say, he's contributed quite a lot and gives us another option that we didn't have before. He still hasn't fully settled in yet, and the debut goal was just a bonus. I'd give him as much time as he needs to bed in, as he has undoubted talent.
It strikes ne that the Fonz could do with a whole season on loan somewhere. Based on what we've seen at villa I think we'd struggle to know how best to use the Fonz. After 35+ games in the championship we'd (and he would) have a much better idea of how best to use him and indeed exactly how good he is.
Elliott Parish had a bad start on emergency loan for Lincoln City. They lost 6 - 0 at home.Don't think he had a chance to train with his defence though.

The easy option would be to stay put and pick up his wages. He's gone out to Burnley because he wants to play games. I have to say from the few times I have seen him his attitude and application have looked fine.
