Liverpool offered 8, then 10, but Blackpool want 14.

I kind of see their logic there, though, if Liverpool are so brainspazzingly stupid to spend 35m on Andy Carroll, then maybe they'll spend that on Adam

Mike Ashley whatever we think of him has done a cracking bit of business. He has turned a 10m asset into 35m value.
Lpool have done equally well gettiing 50m for a player with crocked knees who is unlikey to play more than 30 games between now and end of 2011/12 season.

Torres is overpriced but as least he is quality. 35m for Carroll though is lunacy. Bent is now officially a bargain
