hmmm. i don't think the chants of 'you're getting sacked in the morning' during the Sunderland game were anything to be proud of. Very embarrassing, if anything.

GH had, at thet point,  taken one of the highest paid squads in Europe into the relegation places, I'd be more worried if people thought that was acceptable.

Singing that was absolutely disgraceful.

We forget that the vast majority of match goers dont log on to here to express their dissatisfaction, they do it in other and more immediate ways. It was a little embarrassing but perfectly understandable.

Were you at the game ????
The last 30 mins was a complete shambles.......the manager did nothing he made no subs, tactical changes and it ended up with Barry and Ashley hoofing/lobbing the ball forwards from the half way line towards James Collins
The crowd reaction seems to have galvanised him and Randy

I said after the game, we were playing 6th place Sunderland that night who had gone to Chelsea and picked them off 3-0. First half without ever playing well we created 2 guilt edge chances, one of which I am sure still brings out cold sweats for Emile. That goes in, 1-0 up at home on the back of the Chelsea result, and maybe we are on the way to another win. We then started the second half in pathetic fashion, but Emile woke us up and we started to get back into it when the silly not putting the ball out thing kicked off, they started on Emile and he retaliated. Silly - 10 men, and then they get a goal through a 30 yard shot that passes through both sets of players without a nick and unsights the keeper, luckily going in, by a guy who had never scored before. The footballing gods conspired against us. Houllier had seen that side fight back 3 days previous away at the Champions, I am sure he though they might do it again or deserved the opportunity. The stick he took at the ground I thought was wrong, and I hope he continues to improve results to show it was wrong. The luck we got against Man City when balls flew around our box and went wide etc, was a smidgin of the luck we are owed for some of the things that have gone on this season.

It's fine margins, had we won the games against Sunderland where we were had the better chances in both games , we would be 6th in the table right now- as it goes with 11 games in a row against teams outside the top 7 after tuesday, we have every chance of pushing on and aiming for at least a top 8 finish or even better.

Not half as embarrassing as the performance from the team that night. He deserved all the stick he got in that period.

Cheers. He looked a good player in the World Cup, but has anybody seen him play in Germany? Quite a few seem excited by the prospect of him coming in.

Any opinions out there on why he is being allowed to go?  BM are not one of the major teams with twenty internationals in the squad are they?

I'm a bit nonplussed by Bradley coming in, to be honest. Sure, he's a good player, and a whole level up from the likes of Larsson, but he's a tenacious, driving sort of player - something I'd have thought we're hardly short of. So the only thing I can think of which Spangley brought up yesterday is the possibility of Petrov moving on in the summer, and we're getting in our replacement early so he can integrate with the squad.
