I'd say it depends.

I'd rather have Bradley in and have Makoun, Bradley, Petrov, Delph, Bannan, Hogg and Gardner. I'd say that was pretty solid.

If we can spare his wage money I'd rather have him rather than not have him because he does have his uses. But he shouldn't be much more than fourth choice - which is what he would be in the above list of players.

Makoun and Bradley are replacements for Reo Coker and Petrov I'd be thinking. I'd keep Reo Coker alright but Petrov isn't up to 90 mins at EPL level anymore. Surprised Reo Coker hasnt signed a new contract. Houllier has given him a lot of games and I can't see him playing with a better club.

Still with Delph, Ireland possibly and Bannan to come into the mix. Plus Gary Gardner if the hype about him is anywhere near justified. That's a lot of options in midfield.

Wouldn't mind one or two nailing down positions though. Reo Coker away from home and against the better sides is probably the only one at the moment. Don't think we will see the best of Makoun until next season. Hopefully Delph, Ireland and Bradley can show us what their capable of before May.

Hopefully Ireland will fuck off we have plenty of midfielders, don't need one that clearly hates the club.

Hope this Bradley thing comes off, from what I've seen he looks the dog's nads! Amazing how quickly things turn around isn't it? A month ago it was all gloom, doom and certain relegation, now we're all looking forward again. So much nicer when every one's happy :)

hmmm. i don't think the chants of 'you're getting sacked in the morning' during the Sunderland game were anything to be proud of. Very embarrassing, if anything.

GH had, at thet point,  taken one of the highest paid squads in Europe into the relegation places, I'd be more worried if people thought that was acceptable.

I certainly can't see petrov and reo- coker both being here next season- of the two I'd keep nige and cash in on petrov personally.

We may get around £4m for petrov and would be able to use the saving on his wages to offer nige a new deal and pocket the petrov fee for new signings.

It's a pity as I thought we missed Petrov's steadying influence when he was out. He isn't up to 90 mins anymore though.

Singing that was absolutely disgraceful.

The Sunderland game was the one time I had some serious doubts. More for his failure to react after the sending off and seemingly allowing them to steal the three points it looked like he didn't know what to do. I wasn't calling for him to be sacked but was starting to wonder whether this my be a wasted season.

Since then almost everything has been positive and now I am pretty optimistic about the direction that the club is going in.

I think we had all accepted that this was going to be a transitional season but none of us expected it to be as bad as it was up to that point

Agree Chris.  The Sunderland game was a low point and I wasn't sure we (or Houllier) would recover.  Much much better since then.  Amazing what a bit of confidence can do.

Agreed chris, I think emotions were running high after the Sunderland game and the way the night went, some peoples frustration maybe boiled over as after the Liverpool game too, but we seem to have turned the corner and can look ahead to exciting times hopefully.
