The Bundasliga is quite similar to English football with regards to pace and so on, so he should be able to get up to speed sharpish.

We've managed to rebuild the midfield all in the space of three and a half weeks. Good work!

Forbidden is the pulling up in Germany of trees. Such an act the strenuous environmental protection laws contravenes.

Not only had he addressed the midfield but has sorted out the right back and striker positions which  we have been in need of doing for the past few years - great month of business!

Right back not sorted for me.......young Walker great going forward but poor defensively

He has addressed our two biggest weaknesses (Midfield and Striker) which is excellent stuff.

I think we can get by until summer now. Then I hope for us to sign a goalkeeper, left back and a creative attacking player and that is one hell of a squad who could be again looking good for European competition. Maybe a right back too as I doubt that we will be given an option on young Kyle Walker.

Agreed he looks really good going forward but his defensive play needs some work from todays display.

Walker is young and I think he will improve his game defensively , he is very attack minded which adds to our options- I'd like to see us sign him as I think with experience of playing at this level he will learn a lot and is worth persevering with.

I remember tony dorigo was similar when he first got in the team but walkers defensive game will improve , not the finished article but could be a great player in our future plans

Actually it's the slowest of the 'Big 5' leagues of Europe, it's slower even than France and Italy! On average in the PL an player has less than 1.5 seconds on the ball, in Germany it's over 2.2 seconds. That difference is seismic.

Bradley is very good. Younger than I thought too.

As Supertom said a midfield with two from Makoun, Bradley, Petrov and Delph flanking Bannan or Downing would be quite something. We don't need no overrated Charlie Adam with that available.

I might even be tempted to say Hey Houllier leave that midfield alone in the summer if Bradley is available permanently.

Sounds like we have pulled off another coup. Isn't that a bit Pink Floyd...ish?

Midfield is fine, with The Dark Side of the Makoun in there. I'm not even sure Bradley is necessary, but there we are.

Interesting that Kendrick on Twitter has said that Reo Coker will certainly be off as heis wage demands are too large for a new deal. Surprises me a little, as he has done well for Houllier when fully fit and match sharp, and is a very useful man in a squad rotation system. Maybe another combative man will be targeted in the summer with good tackling ability, or GH feels Hogg will step up.

Bradley is a far better midfielder than Seb Larsson, a good bit of business from GH.

In fact all the deals done this window seem to be good business, not used to us getting players in well before the end of the transfer window.

I like NRC but he's not worth the reported £50k per week deal he's looking for.
