Houllier on SSN saying Larsson deal still on, but is far from complete.

He doesn't want to talk about John Carew.
Still struggling to see the point of the Larsson thing. Can't work out where he'll play or who he'll replace.

And as for JC, he's right. Yesterday's news.

I don't think Larsson has to replace anyone Ger. He's not a bad player, and will just add to our squad. Our kids are brilliant but having a few more seasoned PL pros around isn't such a bad thing. Larsson is a better player than most give him credit for and I think will be better by stepping up into our squad. Look how poor Hleb has looked since he's been there, yet he was brilliant at Arsenal. Larsson's no Hleb, but he'd benefit from being with us. That's just my take on it.
Few up of us buying squad players.   MON made an art of it.    You want to buy players who are 1st team quality and who compete for their places.   Dont want a bench of space saver tyres.

Fed up of us buying squad players?

We've acquired three players this window, one of whom smashed our transfer record, one of whom is a nailed on starter and one of whom, whilst being on loan, will certainly be starting.

Sorry I meant in the past.  The new three are 1st team starting quality.   That's how it should always be.

The first team is all but sorted.

I'd rather wait 'till the summer and get the left-back we WANT not being in any rush or panic and NOT pay over-the-top. I think it's equally crucial we sign Kyle Walker too.

I say we are still shy of another 1st team quality midfielder + the LB you mention.   But apart from that I wouldn't spend any more this window.   We have enough bodies to step into the breach until then.

Liverpool should take that, if they can push through a deal for Suarez in the next few days.

not that I care at all, but if the blonde girl leaves the bindippers they will not have anyone to score their goals for them.  thats why the fans are all panicking .

Oh yea, forgot about a midfielder.

We've got to see whether or not Coker is staying with us, but even if he is I still think we'd need an upgrade regardless.

We want a classy AM player who'll thread balls into Young, Albrighton, Gabby and Bent... someone like Modric.

As you said I think we're fine for now, enough cover and we've added quality to both the team and squad. It was always hard to get excited about MON's squad because he insisted on playing the same players week-in-week-out.

Realistically though, no, it shouldn't. There are numerous reasons why squad players might be needed. I'm not sure about Larrson though, although that might be because the only time i've seen him play is against us, and from memory he's never stood out

Such a shame as I really liked Davies.

Did you smash it?

Haven't you been paying attention?  He only goes out with 7s and 8s as he doesn't want a partner better looking than him and Curtis is a 9/10 easy.

Maybe the situation IS curtis Davies.

He did after all say he used to play football at a high level.
