I see Larsson as the best set-piece taker in the Premiership. He is lethal at free kicks and corners and a good crosser from open play. I also think he is the key player for City, so the sooner he goes the better.

I would agree that the rest of his play is suspect but that might improve with coaching and having better players around him.

Agreed.  He's a decent player and would add strength to the squad.  I think our views are being heavily clouded by the fact he plays for the Blues.  If he was coming from another club, Blackpool for instance, I think most people would think reasonable signing and if GH wants him, then fair enough.

I really don't like Larsson either, his ego will go through the roof if he signs for the Villa, but as I said, in return sha would be without their best crosser of the ball.

I've said all along that I think Curtis is a very decent player who was badly hampered by his shoulder injury and then totally lost confidence. I concede that at the moment he's not good enough to get in our team but I really do believe that, with a decent run of games , he will look the part again. Therefore I dont want to see him playing for those wankers

I don't know, I'm not against Larsson coming in. Always thought he's a decent player and, for me, he plays in a position we don't have a lot of depth in - right midfield. We have Albrighton, who's more of an out and out right winger, but not really anyone who is a right sided midfield player. From what I've seen of him, he's got all the attributes to play more centrally and he'd give us a decent different option if we wanted to make the midfield a bit tighter, play a bit narrower, with more of a defensive edge.

I'll say now, if he signs and pushes Albrighton out of the picture, I'll be fuming but I can't see Houllier doing that.

We need a left back more than anything but it seems GH is satisfied Clark and Baker can see us through until the summer.

As for Davies, he was looking ok before his injury, it seems that one shocker of a game he had against Rapid has made a few people's mind up that he's shit. He's not, there's a decent centre half there somewhere. Not good enough to get in out starting 11 at the moment though but i'd have him on the bench until the end of the season.

Personally, and I know this may come across as being small minded, but we should never do business for players with Blose.  I just don't like it, particularly as our cast offs (it's never the other way around) invariably get them out of a hole.

And if Larsson played for anyone else i'd say the same - no thank you, not of the quality we need.
