Our bid will probably not be increased because there is no credible competition for him. I think he'll either stay there or come here and I reckon he'll be trying to push through a move with ever increasing desperation as the week wanes. Blackpool may feel they have no choice but to sell. They wont be getting any more for him I think and even with him, they'll be slipping into a releagtion mire as they face a very difficult second half to the season.

I dont particularly like the idea of putting small clubs in that kind of predicament but after Holloway's conduct and language, I really couldn't care less.

He's desperate to sell. My feeling is either he is desperate for the money or Adam has intimated his desire to leave.

In the face of such desperation and such cocknosed behaviour I recommend Ged either doesn't sign him or submits a new final bid of £3million.

On reflection, I'd go £5m with some unrealistic add ons (Captains Scotland to a World cup win, Brokers peace in the Middle East, Cures AIDS)

A couple of papers reporting it, however, is neither here nor there as they get far more wrong than they get right when it comes to transfer speculation.

It has been interesting seeing how little the papers really do know about transfers in this window.

Witness the way we managed to keep any mention of Bent out of the papers until the day before we signed him.

If you look at that Nicko's stuff on that Blackburn site, for all the worshipping of him and his "eleven o'clockers" (in which he waits for the papers to go to press then releases the same pointless, made up nonsense you'll see in the Mirror the next day), he gets hardly anything right.

I know someone who writes for the Sun and, believe it or not, he says all stories go through 2 or 3 legal advisers...except for celebrity gossip and, even more so, football transfer rumours. These can be totally made up.

If the add-ons work, think the deal would be 5millions raising to 250million.

I used to like listening to holloway but in the last fortnight he has appeared a twat and I can now see why he been sacked so often.

He still worries me, no doubt about his ability but he seems slower than Barry, that was always my reservation about Milner

I think we should hold firm, bid £3.5m on the morning of the last day of the transfer window. Or, do nothing and go again in the summer with £2m. With his contract situation, Adams' value will drop with every month after January. And if Blackpool go down...

I'm not a vindictive sort usually, but Holloway has overstepped the mark with his comments. Can't recall any manager ever referring to another club as a 'has been' of a football club.

Ideal scenario: no-one else to come in for Adam before the end of January so the carrot-crunching cockend is lumbered with an unhappy, unmotivated player for the rest of the season.  We come back with a £2m bid in the summer which Blackpool gratefully accept, as it'll go along quite nicely with their relegation parachute payments.  Then we tell them to shove it up their hoop and go and buy someone far better.

I've never liked this rent-a-quote idiot, so I'm quite chuffed that he's shown his true colours now.  He really isn't doing himself any favours with this whole fiasco.

It's been obvious from day one that he has tried to engineer an auction. I would be contacting their directors and saying take the offer now or we walk away until the Summer. Adam does have qualities but he came from a rank league, had one good year in the Championship and has performed decently for half a year in the Prem, hardly long or sustained enough to be asking silly money.
