A left back is much more of a priority than Adam. If Clarke gets booked Tomorrow, he will be suspended. Leaving us with Warnock ........

After the match the other night radio WM were saying warnock was off on loan to the Pool with a view to a permanent move, I also read that Brum were desperate for a centre half and were looking at Davies. its all gone quiet now though.

Warnock has not gone to Liverpool , kendrick said villa refused to loan him and would only let him leave if sold. Its a shame either cuellar or walker will have to miss out tomorrow , but at least the right back position looks stronger now , not sure how long luke and delph are going to be out for - is this luke youngs last season on his contract?

Luke Young was snapped in the background of the 'Bent' training session on the OS so guessing he'll be in contention for the left back spot soon.

I've been hugely impressed with Clark at left back , I think he will be immense for us over the next few years , only problem is he has 7 bookings in his last 8 games , even if luke young were fit I'd persist with Clark in the role.

I know it was only highlights, but I was impressed with Adam on Saturday; he's a lot stronger than I realised. I thought he was a neat and tidy passer, but he actually looks capable of dominating a midfield. More dynamic than I thought, strong shot on him.

But I agree: there's a limit as to how much we should pay for him. No more than £5m, I think. Holloway's logic is rather twisted; he may be performing well in the PL but it's too simplistic to say 'he cost XX so he must be worth XX'. Blackpool are in a tight spot, because potential buyers know Adam cost them £500k, his contract has a season and a bit to run, he's on £10k a week (reportedly), and, he's at Blackpool, most importantly. One of the smallest clubs to play PL football. £4.5m-5m is good money to them.

I think Holloway's still pissed at us for not letting him have Bannan again.

DalgLish just on sky declined to discuss any link to Charlie Adam. The Person who is leaking news of these reported bids to the media is holloway himself- the fool can't see he is guilty of unsettling his own star player!

I used to like listening to holloway but in the last fortnight he has appeared a twat and I can now see why he been sacked so often.

So, in summary, the situation appears to be this:

Villa made a final bid of £4m last week. Houllier has said that, while his interest in Adam remains, he has no plans to increase the offer.

Liverpool's manager has now stated they are not interested in Adam.

Holloway's played a blinder here...

If Blackpool go into freefall, which wouldn't be a massive surprise, then the fire sale at the end of the season could see Adam going for less than we offered last week.
