Wouldn't pay 8m for adam, but i guess since Bent arriving all the selling clubs have doubled their asking price when we come calling. Carew was supposedly interesting west ham, though i guess thats dead now due to MON bottling it. If he goes to WBA we should make sure we get a few clauses in - money for goals scored, staying up etc.. They'll pay it if they're that desperate

clauses like missed penalties  ;-)

heh. 10k everytime he manages to trap the ball. Another 10k if he covers more than a mile in total during a match. By May, we could be looking at.... er 20 grand.

I'm not comfortable with big John going to the Baggies - they're a relegation rival after all. Why should we help them out with a loan deal? I think he'll be a hit there at the start - remember his Villa Park debut against West Ham in 2007? Madness!

We're not having the piss taken out of us then, good. Wurzel will have an unhappy bunny on his hands though maybe. Lets move on to another target. Lets use the Adam money as a deposit to get Milner back. Or Honda from CSKA.

Now you're talking. Read on the gossip column of 'The Mighty Reds YNWA''s supposed interest, and immediately began fantasising about getting him back. I reckon £14m and £80k a week might do it. Hasn't set the world on fire there has he?

I think there might be a few English City players who will look at who they buy in the summer and wonder how often they are going to play with the Euro Championships at the end of the season.

Why did we sell Milner in the first place?

The same reason Sunderland sold Bent. He wanted to move and they offered enough money.

I can't really see him giving up on Man City so quickly but then this has been a week for surprises so who knows.

MON wanted the £26m more than he wanted the player.

If we re-signed Milner I'd be more excited than I was when we signed Bent. It isn't going to happen though is it?

I would only entertain the notion is they also agreed to take Ireland back.

Straight swap should do it.

Nah. Unless we could get him on loan for 5 months.

you'd say so but at the end of the day they have to satisfy platini's spending criteria to qualify for the CL. He's already made a few hints about them
