All I can say is I hope he is right. Makoun, Adam, Bent, Cummings on loan with view to sign, Walker likewise and a left back would be dreamland for January wouldn't it, and hats of to Lerner, Houllier and Paul Faulkner for making it happen.

These signings being made now will mean they will all have a preseason with us next season and we can hit the ground running- I am hugely impressed by the deals we have been involved with so far,Is warnock still here or has he gone to Liverpool on loan?

David craig looks as if he's gonna cry in a minute and is clutching at straws saying Sunderland will get 6m up front and it's pointless- he says it is far from certain they will sell him yet the midlands reporter said the bid has been accepted- sort it out sky- are you west ham in disguise?

Agreed. Would be madness to let them go now. In the Summer, Heskey probably should go but I reckon Downing could flourish with the type of player Houllier seems to be looking for.

he has been hilarious all day with that...

however, the midlands reporter has backed up the discussions about how to pay the fee, which would suggest they are very close to accepting a fee, if not done already...

We can look at letting Heskey go in the Summer, but it's a big no with Downing.
