If the Villa sign Bent we won't go down. I personally think when you look at the clubs he has been at and the goals he has scored, there are precious few goalscorers better in the league, especially considering how consistent he has been. There is sweet FA chance of it happening though.

I totally agree, if not Bent then someone who can put the ball in the back of the net. It makes a huge difference to have a striker who you know will take his chances. At the moment we don't have that, Gabby has never or will be a poacher.

I don't see the fuss about this Figueroa, we can do better. I'm not sure how much playing time Lescott is getting at Man City but he'd be ideal seeing as he can play left back as well.

Lescott would be nice, loan 'till the end of the season as a left back and then in the Summer he'd only have 2 years left on his Citeh contract, which I'm sure they'd be willing to subsidise ala Ireland and Dunne.

He's the right age, needs to be playing and he's Villa.
