I assume they will be paying his wages if he does go
Depends on the terms of the loan deal

SSN (for what that's worth) reporting Warnock has gone to Liverpool on loan until the end of the season....  See ya then.

Does he need a lift, I am on my way if so. We might well talk about how far we have fallen of late but King Kenny's might Reds, the scourge of Europe, the most famous and biggest club in the world, signing Warnock on loan. I should think old school bindippers must be shaking their heads in dismay at how the power base in English football has slipped through their fingers before their very own eyes...

So that leaves us with a young centre half as our only option at left back?

I would say someone is lined up maybe Maynor Figueroa

well we have Luke Young and im sure Lichaj can play there too

The word on the street is quite interesting. If nothing changes -and things can always change, though it is unlikely at this point - a solid player is on his way. I never can read the fans, but I would expect this one to be a popular choice...

I pictured Huggy Bear when reading that post.

You'd think so. I'd have prefered us to actually have signed him before letting Warnock go though.

Someone at work yesterday was telling me he'd read something somewhere about Warnock and he had said that he was deeply unhappy at Villa. I couldn't find anything but maybe this is a factor. If he's not happy then get rid

Manchester City will allow Shay Given to leave Eastlands, but only if they can find a replacement.

Swap for Brad Freidel I say

Sounds like a plan! Shay has at least four good years in him I reckon and is a top class 'keeper.

It's all very well allowing players to leave, but this is further weakening an already weak squad and leaves not one experienced left back at the club. Why do we always let players go before replacing them - if at all?

Inter Milan are lining up a £17m summer bid for Manchester City's 29-year-old midfielder Gareth Barry.

Yes. Of course they are.

Surely that 'm' after the 7 is a typo?

Well that's kind of meh! I've got a kop supporting mate who'd been saying the other week how he's surprised how shit Warnock has become. So he'll be delighted that Liverpool have signed him.

Am I bothered? Frankly, while he might be our only fit left back, Warnock has looked a liability every time he's played since the turn of last year almost. After such a promising start. All told, he never really did much better than Shorey, when he was given his chance. Ironically, the best we saw of Nicky Shorey was for 3-4 games, just prior to Warnock signing. He'd played well, but of course got dropped instantly when Warnock arrived.

Anyway, we now need to sign someone sharpish. We can't afford to rely on Clark at his age, nor Luke Young, who also doesn't appear to be putting in 100% under Houllier.

Has Warnock actually gone?
This means we don't have a left back on our books. Nice one Geddy!

For what it's worth this rumour is absolute bollocks. 'Can't reveal names' 'all being kept hush hush' and 'surprise that this club will let him go' HAHA absolute bollocks.
If there is a team willing to sell such an asset why the fuck would they want to keep it quiet? They would sing it from the roof tops to ensure they got the best deal possible for their team.

If you're selling your car do you just tell one mate or do you tell ten or even stick it in the auto trader? Keep it on the quite my arse, ridiculous rumour.

Figueroa is a good player, though at 30, really what we want? I wouldn't mind Rodellega either. I think he's a player who can make things happen and would be far better in Ash's current position than Ash. I think he just needs a decent club where he can progress further. He's skillful, good technique and unpredictable, so we'd certainly find use for him.

I also wouldn't mind Tuncay as an alternate to Rodellaga. I think for where we're at right now, he's in our market and price range. We can accomodate him in his favoured position, if we shift Ash back out wide like sense would dictate. He works hard and he's got a bit of guile and cuteness that we're currently lacking up top.

We need to ship out underperforming players and Warnock falls into that catogory. I'm glad GH has started the clear out, I hope he's the first of many.

Oh, and Nicky Shorey is an absolute twat, I cant let an opportunity to mention it pass.
