Blose have agreed a 6m quid fee for Robbie Keane and according to the BBC and Sky it looks like it is going through!

Bentley's a good signing, especially with Larsson probably moving on to Newcastle/anywhere but there, but I think 6m for Keane is a massive gamble. Has done nothing for two years now.

Doubtless everybody who said he was great on here (he's not, he's a busted flush) will say
'Ah, he's shite anyway.'

I think players are going to hold on signing for villa at present and see if you come through this rocky patch with G.H. intact...thats what agents will be telling there players anyway....

Looks like no striker then, especially Bemzema.

If we can still, in this position, get a player from a Champions League side that is in the prime of his career, we are not that badly off.

6 million and 65k a week on Keane is crazy money.

Can't remember anyone claiming Keane was great, I think most on here would prefer someone else to Keane.

The only reason Keane's name got thrown around was because under the O'Neill regime he was going to be a 'typical' O'Neill signing and knowing we weren't going to sign anyone from abroad we just had to settle being content having someone like Keane whereas if Blose sign Keane it'll be the equivalent of signing David Villa (no pun intended) for them.

Right. Now we have the Villa sorted can you explain why your lot are made up of loanees and Villa rejects?

On second thoughts, don't bother. If it wasn't for the game this weekend, I'd probably forget you exist.

Considering they still stay Lewis is a target I think it's fair to take that report with a fair pinch of salt.

I am absolutely amazed that Houllier isn't looking at signing a striker.

He has 'relegation' tattooed on his forehead if you ask me.

Hey sheldon don't you have any fans on your forum to chat to? If so ask them why struggling old Aston villa can sign top quality like jean makoun while you are being rejected by that reject himself kenny miller- small time club and small time fans!

We can and always will attract class players because we have and always will be the only team in the midlands worth playing for!
