No, as they're different players. Always been a player I've liked but he's 33 now. Maybe one last hurrah left in him.

It would be quite funny throwing him into Sunday's game, what with his snide fouls and Anti-Ref invisibilty cloak. He'd have the locals tearing their string vests off in rage, or at least getting their hands caught up in them.

Yes please!!!! Great player and a great leader. This would be a huge positive move for us, but I'l be staggered if we can afford his wages.

This is just an agent leak to smoke out some interest. I don't think there's the slightest possibility that Van Bommel will be considering a relegation battle in England for his next career choice. Hope I'm wrong.

Van Bommel was linked with us when O'Leary was in charge, didn't he claim he was good friends with MVB, we needed to get into Europe for him to sign but we just missed out so he went elsewhere.
