From what iv heard Houlliers getting 30 million in jan with Given, Lescott, Keane and a lad called Gomes from Lyon. Thats a promising start at least!

I,m wondering is it ' Gomes'  'Gomez ' or Gomez ?   , there appear to be 2 playing for Lyonn ...one a defender ( aka ' The Policeman ' ! ) , the other a Forward . I,m sure someone will enlighten me  ...................Godzvilla!

I don't know if it was mentioned in the thread earlier but Sky Sports.com is reporting Villa and Man City are linked with Scott Loach, the England U21 keeper from Watford. I haven't seen much of him but keeper is certainly an area where we could do with some competition.

Totally agree. Reo is not gonna take us forward. He has limited ability and after 3 years surely we must realise we need a player who has more technical and aerial ability along with some knowledge of where the goal is ...........
