This is why it's so different, with MON Bentley would be a shoe in but GH has broader horizons.

bloody hell he has had a  good start to the season but been crap for 2 seasons, playing for a new contract, plays off Kevin Davies, so we play him off Heskey, that will scare the hell out of PL defences

Stephen Ireland is looking for a January move away from Aston Villa. Fulham boss Mark Hughes is keen after the pair worked together at Manchester City, but the Cottagers would struggle to find the £8m asking price.

Middlesbrough defender David Wheater will move to the Premier League in January, says his former team-mate, Aston Villa winger Stewart Downing.

Seems to be an increasing number of reports that he wants away.

I'd take it a bit more seriously if it wasn't from the Daily Star, mind.

If true, it's a shame. A  good player there somewhere, one who is quite likely to go elsewhere and embarrass us. How much of his poor form to date is down to GH's handling of the situation I'm not sure.

But if he does want out then see ya. Providing it's not on the cheap.

I also saw bentley linked today as well, I think they just drag up the same names whoever is in charge

Found myself thinking yesterday how undeniably funny it would be if GH signed McGeady and Keane in his first window.

He'll sign the french versions.

But broader horizons doesn't necessarily mean better players.  I'm curious to see exactly what Gezza does in Jan and the summer and I'll judge him on the players ability and not where they are from.

I'd still be happy with Keane. I think he is on the decline, but he'd give us some brains up front that we are missing.

Friedel will need replacing soon enough. Not seen enough of McGregor to know if he is good enough.

McGregor is a quality goal keeper, I'd be really happy if we signed him. He is keeping Gordan out of the Scotland team and he is in great form for Sunderland.
