We all thought James Milner was the boy next door, Roy of the Rovers, does it for the football type and look what he turned into. All footballers are greedy so 'n' so's. Adebayor isn't an anomaly when it comes to money and attitude. Plus it seems to be Citeh's call to sell him.
Given chances he tends to put them away. We have been creating plenty of chances of late and not finishing them, so in my view he does seem a good, but unrealistic option, for us.

So GH has signed one player on a free because the window has closed and all of a sudden we are signing over the hill midfielders. Have you ever considered changing your name from Reality to something like Pessimism or Cloud Cuckoo Land?

Gat a grip FFS.  January really isnt the best time to buy anyway.  We're bound to get screwed on cost.  Why not get in some experienced players in to blend in with the youth during this very dificult injury hit season.  Its a loan,  stop worrying about it.

I'll believe we are interested in Juninho when I see him with that shirt and if Gerard thinks he can benefit us on a short term contract then so be it. Pires may be 37 years old but he's only here in the short term and will make a contribution off as well as on the pitch in helping our young players hopefully. Now, it's early days but I reckon he'll do well in both these functions (tried some decent balls when he came on and looks better than Ireland) and he's only here for the short term anyway.

Now, what out of contract players should we be signing to provide desperately needed extra bodies. Who is available that can help there that is better than Pires? Are Xavi and Iniesta looking for new clubs? We are down to the bare bones so signing Pires can help there. Juninho might actually wrestle the ball of Young at free-kicks and show him how it is done.

And even then I sincerely doubt that we are after him and I don't see us bringing anyone in until January.

  Adebayor is top quality.....but i reckon a nightmare to work with. Elamander is'nt a patch on him for ability, but i would probably prefer him tbh.

I think Adebayor is exactly the type of player we need if not the character.
He knows how to score plenty of goals in this league and we could do with some of that.
I see Bendtner as another option.
