At least one if not two strikers in and we should send the Fonz out on loan; absolutely pointless him spending another season in our reserves if we're not going to use him - and based on initial indications, we're not. I'd rather see him spend six months in the Championship playing regularly.
Even at the start of GH was asked about his strikers he named Gabby,Carew and Heskey as being his three strikers. No menton of the Fonz

I can honestly say I dont get it. Fonz should be playing more than he is. Especially with Gabby out.
I dont know if anything has happened behind the scenes (I doubt it) but surely Sid must be pushing hard for Fonz to get a look in. He knows how good he is.

0.001% Chance we get Lassana

Heard he's looking for a move back to England.

Is he playing much for Real?

You just never know.

I do like the look of Mazrim's line up.

The Fonz thing is a real mystery. I thought under McDonald when he seemingly favoured Weimann ahead of him and appeared equally reluctant to use him that something doesn't add up.

Like I said, if we're not going to use him I'd rather see him go out and get some loan experience if Houllier isn't going to use him; I don't see him gaining much from another year of reserve football.

A team/squad for the second half of the season?

---------------------Friedel

------------Collins----------Cuellar
Young-----------------------------------Warnock

-------------Muntari--------Diarra

Downing----------Ireland------------Young

---------------------Hoarau

Guzan, Dunne, Clark, Delph, Albrighton, Agbonlahor, Heskey
Beye, Lichaj, Bannan, Reo Coker, Petrov, Weimann, Delfouneso

Whilst I really like Hoarau as a player, I don't think he is the player we should after in January. He is a great target/big man striker, but he isn't prolific enough scoring wise. He will be a great replacement for Emile and JC in the summer, but what we really need now is a Falcao esque goal scorer...I know they are few and far between. Also I can only see one DCM coming in, if any in January. With GH trying to tie NRC down to a new contract, I can only imagine he will be a first team regular and probable captain. Also with Delph hopefully back and Petrov similar, come January we should be in a better state then we are now. I like the idea of M.Diarra on loan with a view to a permanent and then in the summer really going after some top quality targets, one of which I hope would be Hoarau.

I have said before that it was said that the MON/Reo Coker falling out was over Delfuenso not trying in training. Has he become a Billy Big Bollocks who thinks he has made it already? He seems to be going the way of the Moores :(

Perhaps he just isn't good enough, we have seen it all before it is a big jump to make from reserves to the first eleven. Where we are at the moment would i play the Fonz in front of Heskey or Carew, no.

But would you play him when Carew and Heskey don't appear to be options like the Burnley match.

He is good enough. I am absolutely convinced.
Currently, I would play him before Carew.

You've seen more of him than I have Maz.

My position would be that the jury is still out re his long term suitability for top flight football, but from what I've seen from him so far he should definitely be featuring at present.

On BBC gossip column that Ged will look to offload Carew. Pity, he's been one of my favourite players of the past few years.

On current form it makes sense.

He's not getting any younger, is sitting on a fairly fat contract and has a long standing back injury that means his good games and overall contribution will diminish even more.

Its hard not to be fond of Carew (especially when he's "on it") but when his head goes he's just useless.
It's really annoying because he could and should be pretty much unstoppable every week.

But sometimes you just know when its over and I get that feeling now. Or that it's all but over.
Its been an enigmatic few years though.
